Participating cities from all nations of the UK have published their Inclusive Cities Action Plans, which bring together in one place what the city government and its partners are doing to support inclusion in their local area.
The Inclusive Cities programme, led by Jacqui Broadhead and Denis Kierans, announces the publication of its members’ Action Plans. The programme supports 12 cities across the UK to achieve a step-change in their approach towards integration of newcomers and other residents in the city. The Action Plans form an integral part of this process, outlining the priorities of, and practical initiatives undertaken by, the city and its partners to broaden opportunities for the inclusion all residents across the economic, social, and civic life of the city.
These plans draw on the thematic areas outlined in the Inclusive Cities Framework:
The Action Plans include a local case study to highlight a good practice or novel approach. For a summary of selected case studies, visit the COMPAS blog.
The twelve cities are: Belfast, Birmingham, Brighton and Hove, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Newry, Mourne and Down, Newport and Sheffield.
