Considering the past, present and future of migration research.

‘Migration’ is a difficult word. Difficult because it encompasses a vast array of interlinked phenomena, none of which is clearly explained by the word itself. Difficult because it means something different to every person who moves from one place in the world to another, and to every person who encounters these mobile people at the start of their journey, during their travels and at their point of arrival.
