Roxana is a DPhil candidate in Migration Studies. Her research is focused on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in immigration and border governance, with a focus on Canada. For her doctoral project, Roxana employs a mixed method qualitative approach that will rely on relevant official documents and academic literature on the use of AI in governance as well as ethnographic data involving in-depth interviews with network actors and experts.
Prior to joining the DPhil, Roxana completed a MSc in Migration Studies at Oxford, and a MA and BA in Political Studies in Canada.
