This research investigated the role of migrant domestic workers employed to care for the elderly in private households in the United Kingdom. It explored the living and working conditions of these migrant care workers; the ways in which they negotiate their employment and social relationship with their care user; and the impact of race and racism on their experiences of employment. It also highlighted ways in which to promote the inclusion and greater support of migrant care workers.
