Europe

The last decade has been a momentous time for the UK and the world in terms of numbers of people moving, and the creation of new paradigms of experience and understanding. For example, the expansion of the European Union has profoundly changed the migration landscape in Britain.

The face of Europe’s cities has changed beyond recognition, with previous emigration states becoming immigration states. COMPAS work, informed by the super-diversity framework, has played a major role in the development of on integration in Europe, especially at a municipal level.
