Irmelin is a DPhil candidate at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology.

Irmelin holds a MA in Sociology (2010) as well as in Research Architecture (2012) from Goldsmiths, University of London. She previously worked as a researcher and lecturer at Stockholm University, Department of Human Geography, and as a curator within contemporary art and architecture.
