Eirin Haugseth Visiting Academic

Eirin Haugseth is a doctoral researcher at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), where she is researching the effects of hosting refugees on the prospects of social unrest in host communities in the Global South. Her main research interest concerns the effects and consequences of civil society mobilisation as calls for social change, and her previous work includes nonviolent civil resistance and democratisation. At PRIO, Haugseth is affiliated with the research project ‘TRUST: Attitudinal Impacts of Refugees on Host Communities in the Global South,’ led by Halvard Buhaug and funded by the Research Council Norway.
