Funding for Oxford University Students to visit Stockholm University

The international collaborative research programme Opening the Black Box of Migration: Brokers and the Organization of Transnational Mobility invites applications from students at the University of Oxford for funding to support visits to the Department of Anthropology, Stockholm University. 

  • The length of visits can range from one week to one month, depending on the nature of the students’ proposals and the availability of resources.
  • Students will have access to the libraries of the university and will be able to attend classes and seminars at the department.
  • Funding will cover the airfare and provide subsistence subsidies.
  • Students are expected to contribute to developing stronger ties between Oxford and Stockholm, and to intellectually contribute to the research on globalization, migration and particularly brokerage.
  • The research programme will end on June 30, 2012, and visits must take place before that time.
  • There is no constraint regarding the programmes and subjects where the students are enrolled.

    1. the research topic,
    2. preferred time for the visit,
    3. the length of visit,
    4. planed activities during the visit. 

Students should have their supervisors’ approval before they submit an application.
