Stefano Cossalter

Stefano is a DPhil student in the Department of Sociology and Associate of Compas, University of Oxford. He holds a MSc from the London School of Economics and his earlier academic background is in criminology, law and social policy. His doctoral research focuses on the study of the relationships between identity, ideology and the idea of cultural hegemony in the city of Padua, Italy by concentrating on the analysis of attitudes and perceptions of native Italians’ towards migrant groups.

Before starting his doctoral programme Stefano was employed as a research officer at King’s College London and as a freelance researcher at Victim Support and ARCS.
