Anastasia Papanastasiou
Anastasia (Tatiana) Papanastasiou is a DPhil student (COMPAS – St Cross College). Her thesis analyses the process of identity formation that occurs in the interaction between Muslim migrants and the Christian population in a predominantly Christian country. Greece is taken as a case study and the Greek and the Islamic identity in Greece as well as their relationship will be researched and analysed. Her hypothesis is that given the current Islamophobia, there is now an emerging common identity among Muslim migrants who live in Greece, as well as in other European countries.
