Rob McNeil is Senior Media Analyst at the Migration Observatory at COMPAS. He is the primary spokesperson for the Migration Observatory and is responsible for its overall media strategy.

The Migration Observatory is tackling how to effectively measure accuracy and balance in reporting on migration issues. Rob is working with the Migration Observatory team to consider how the tone of the media debate affects migration policy decisions, as information gaps in the debate can lead to challenges for journalists and affect the way issues are discussed.

Rob joined COMPAS in November 2010 after two years as the Media Director for the US environmental organisation Conservation International. Previously he worked as PR manager for Oxfam GB, Senior Press Officer for WWF-UK and as a journalist for a range of publications including the Evening Standard, The Daily Mirror, the Sunday Mirror, Red, BBC Wildlife and Radio Pacific (New Zealand).
