Scott Lash is a Senior Research Associate and will be working closely with Michael Keith on developing funding proposals on lineage-based remittances, as sources of capital formation for small business start-ups, housing, and next-generation human capital in China.
He currently holds a part time position at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is recently retired from being the Research Director Centre for Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. Scott Lash’s recent books include China Constructing Capitalism (2014), Intensive Culture (2010), Global Culture Industry (2007), Critique of Information (2002). His books have been translated into 15 languages. Lash has directed a series of large-scale research projects on technological media, and on the Chinese city. He speaks Mandarin.
