Nuria is a PhD Candidate at the International Relations Department at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University. Her research is about international migration, security and integration focusing on children, with a gender approach. She is working from a human security perspective since children leave their origin country until they arrive at its host society and later on when children are second generations. She is interested in how migration intersects with socio-political processes to shape inequalities in receiving societies and how the lack of integration of more vulnerable communities in the EU, concretely the Muslims, could be related to insecurity and social disorder and how integration and common asylum and migration policies could be promoted in the EU, if the EU wants to stay as a global power.
She holds an MSc in International Relations from ICADE and a Ba Hons in Political Science and a Ba in Journalism. Nuria has been working in the Institute of Conflicts and Humanitarian Action, Save the Children and the Permanent Observer Mission of Spain to the Organization of American States in DC.
