Mikal Mast is the COMPAS Communications Officer, dealing with public and press relations and communications activities. She is also Project Manager for the Horizon 2020 project Role of European Mobility and its Impacts in Narratives, Debates and EU Reforms (REMINDER).

She is responsible for reporting on projects to funders and maintains COMPAS publicity and impact records.

Before joining COMPAS Mikal worked as web administrator for the Glasgow Centre for International Development. Previously she was proposal coordinator and publications manager at CARANA Corporation, an international development consulting firm based in Northern Virginia. Prior to this she spent three years as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching English in Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan.

She has a BA in French and History from Calvin College and an MA in Chinese Studies from the University of Arizona.
