Philip Martin holds a Chair, UC Davies on UC Comparative Immigration & Integration Program and is Editor of the monthly Migration News and the Quarterly Rural Migration News. He has been a regular visitor to COMPAS collaborating on projects connected to labour migration and rights.
He studied Labour Economics and Agricultural Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a PhD in 1975.
Martin does research on farm labour, labour migration, economic development, and immigration issues, and has testified before Congress and state and local agencies numerous times on these issues.
