Anna Lindley is a Senior Lecturer in Development Studies at SOAS, University of London and her research focuses on migration, livelihoods and politics. She has worked in particular on displacement and transnational connections, publishing research on Somali mobilities in The Early Morning Phone Call: Somali Refugees’ Remittances and several academic journals. She is also broadly interested in migration politics and policy: recently editing Crisis and Migration: Critical Perspectives, and developing research on immigration-related activism. She a doctorate from Oxford University and previously worked at the Refugee Studies Centre and the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society at Oxford.
She is collaborating with Nicholas Van Hear on a research bid relating to crisis, social transformation and migration, particularly regarding youth and protest.
