New Lives & Dreams
This year's photography competition looked for images that reflect the theme of 'New Lives and Dreams'.
We particularly looked for images that depict the impact that migration has on people’s lived experiences, both in terms of hopes and reasons for moving, as well as the effect that migration has on life in work, communities and homes.

This year's photography competition looked for images that reflect the theme of 'Traces of Belonging'.
COMPAS was particularly interested in images with a historical or social connotation that visually convey what it means to settle in a new place.

This competition focussed on images that depict the journeys that migrants take, not only between countries, but also the everyday experiences and constant adaptations that they make in new environments, jobs and homes.

COMPAS showcased a selection of the most outstanding entries to our Annual Photo Competition, alongside work produced by researchers and other specially selected guests. The exhibition aimed to present a thought-provoking and balanced view of migration, as experienced by people from all over the world.
