Professor Steven Vertovec launched and directed COMPAS from 2003-7. He has now moved on to head the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity, based in Goettingen, Germany. Migration@Oxford is a joint project of the IMI (International Migration Institute), Refugee Studies Centre and COMPAS (Centre on Migration Policy and Society) at the University of Oxford. It is co-ordinated by the IMI.

Bridget Anderson's consultancy work is highlighted by Isis Innovation in their News magazine. Anderson advises the OCSE's (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR)on their investigation into the economic migration of workers to Kazakhstan from other Eastern European states.
