Parking

COMPAS has limited access to parking. Visitors should request parking in advance and report to reception on arrival for a temporary parking permit. Alternatively park and ride facilities in Oxford are very convienient - link for further details. Each of the parking areas offer buses directly into the centre of town. Peartree and Sea Court are perhaps the closest and easiest for COMPAS.
On Foot

COMPAS is on the Banbury Road, which is one of the two main roads leading from the City Centre northwards (see map above). Since it is about a 15/20 minute walk from the rail and bus stations, we recommend that visitors take a taxi, especially if you have heavy luggage. However, for those who are keen to see a bit of Oxford use the following directions:

on foot

From the Train Station:

Turn left as you leave the station area. The Royal Oxford Hotel is directly in front of you; keep left of it and walk along Hythe Bridge Street. After the bridge, the road bends to left, but you should walk straight (crossing at pedestrian lights) into George Street. Go past the first left, this is the coach station…

From the Coach Station:

Turn left out of the coach station on to George Street. At the end of George Street a Debenhams Store is on the corner on your left. Turn left here into Magdalen Street and walk northwards (you will pass the Ashmolean museum on your left) continue until you see the road fork. You will need the right fork – this is Banbury Road, continue up this road (passing a set of lights on your right and then go past a turning on the left – Bevington Road). COMPAS (number 58) is almost opposite Bevington road on the other side of the street.
