This report was compiled as part of the EU-MIA project, a research-based co-operative learning and training initiative targeting and directly involving local stakeholders responsible for the development and implementation of local level integration policies in selected European cities. It presents the Functioning Practice Demokrati för Barns Framtid – Democracy for Children’s Future (DBF), with particular focus on its yearly summer camp. DBF is a grassroots organisation teaching migrant and non-migrant children about rights, social interaction, integration, and equality through various activities held throughout the year. The activities include sports, music education and events. The practice is based on the Swedish island Gotland, in its main city Visby.
